Store files in Kloud Drive
Kloud Drive (/platform/kloud-drive) is your file storage inside the platform: upload files and whole folders, organize, star, share, and recover from trash — with AI features that are honest about working on metadata only.
Upload and organizelink
The New menu offers File upload, New folder, and Folder upload (which recreates the folder’s directory tree). Drag-and-drop works too. The sidebar gives you My Drive, Shared with me, Recent, Starred, Trash, and an Activity log; you get 25 GB of storage, with usage shown as a meter.
Uploads are capped at 10 MB per file — enforced both in the page and again on our servers — and limited to safe types: images, video, audio, PDF, Office documents, CSV, TXT, JSON, and ZIP.
Trash, rename, and downloadlink
- check_circleTrashing a folder trashes its whole subtree; restoring it lifts exactly the items that cascade removed. Trash items auto-delete after 30 days.
- check_circleRenaming a folder rewrites its path and cascades the change to every descendant folder.
- check_circleDownloading a folder builds a ZIP of its entire subtree, nested folders included.
AI search and Metadata Insightslink
Search has two modes — Standard Search and AI Search. If AI search is unavailable, the page says so and falls back to plain name matches instead of failing silently.
The insights panel is labeled Metadata Insights and stamped “Metadata only”: it works from a file’s name, type, and size. Your file contents are never read for these insights.
Frequently asked questions
Why can’t I share by email address?expand_more
Kloud cannot look users up by email, and the Share dialog says so instead of pretending. Share by Kariant user ID — your recipient can give you theirs.
Does the AI read my files?expand_more
No. Insights are computed from metadata only (name, type, size) and the panel is labeled accordingly — “File Metadata Only”.
Why was my upload rejected?expand_more
Files must be under 10 MB and one of the allowed types (images, video, audio, PDF, Office docs, CSV, TXT, JSON, ZIP). Both limits are enforced on our servers, not just in the page.
