The discovery engine
The discovery engine interprets what you mean — not just the words you type — and ranks real catalog listings accordingly.
How discovery workslink
Kariant discovery reads plain-language queries across 12 entity types (software, AI tools, services, rewards, and more). Instead of exact-keyword matching, it interprets intent — budget, use case, and context — and returns the listings that fit.
Ranking blends relevance with rating, review volume, listing freshness, and completeness. The result: when you describe a need like “tool to track SOC-2 evidence for a 30-person team,” relevant listings surface even if they never used those exact words.
Browsing by category sectionlink
Results are grouped into category sections. A collapsed section previews its top results; expanding it shows more, and a “Show more” control keeps extending the list until you have seen every listing in the section — no listing in the catalog is unreachable by browsing.
Category links across the site — in the header’s Discover menus and the footer’s Explore Kariant grids (organized by Software, AI Tools and Services) — lead to the crawlable category hub pages at /categories/<category>, where rankings and Grid Reports live.
Ranking signals and personalizationlink
Result ordering blends how well a listing matches your query with quality and trust signals — ratings, review volume, listing freshness and completeness — plus, when you are signed in, fit to your business profile (for example your industry and country) and what you have engaged with in your current session.
Kariant also improves ranking over time by learning from aggregate engagement across the platform — which listings buyers view, compare, save, and contact after seeing them in results. This learning is measured platform-wide, applied gradually with safety checks, and reviewed continuously; it is never sold, and no individual browsing profile is ever shown to vendors.
Personalization is under your control. The Kontext data controls (kariant.app/klick/kontext) let you switch individual data factors off, and results fall back to neutral, non-personalized ranking wherever you opt out. If that controls page shows a “launching soon” notice, it has not opened to the public yet — until it does, ranking simply behaves as described here.
Sponsored results, honestly labeledlink
Vendors can pay for Boost placement, but its footprint is capped and visible: sponsored cards carry a Sponsored label, and at most two sponsored results appear in any run of six — they are interleaved with organic results, never stacked at the top of a section. Organic ranking is never for sale.
Where discovery appearslink
Discovery powers the main search, category pages (with Category Leader and Momentum signals), and the Klick AI assistant. The same catalog is also exposed to Google (via rich-result markup) and to AI answer engines, so you can reach Kariant listings from search and from chat assistants.
