Sign-in issues
All Kariant sign-in happens on the secure central sign-in at hq.kariant.app — kariant.app shows a brief “Redirecting to secure sign-in…” screen on the way there and returns you afterwards. If you cannot get in, work through these causes and fixes.
The redirect is normallink
Clicking Sign in on kariant.app — or opening a password-reset link — hands you to the Identity portal at hq.kariant.app. The brief “Redirecting to secure sign-in…” screen is the platform working as designed, not an error, and after you authenticate you are returned to the page you started from.
“Incorrect email or password”link
Wrong credentials always produce this one generic message — deliberately, so the sign-in screen never reveals whether an account exists for an email address. If you are sure of the address, check for typos and a stuck Caps Lock, then use Forgot password to set a new one.
If you originally signed up with Google or another provider rather than a password, a password attempt can fail the same way — use the provider button instead, or set a password via Forgot password first.
“An account already exists … using a different sign-in method”link
If you pick a sign-in method that does not match how the account was created — for example the Google button on an email-and-password account — the screen names the affected email and points you to the method you originally used. Sign in that way first; you can then link the new method from your account security settings. Kariant never links two sign-in methods automatically.
Resetting your passwordlink
Request a reset link from Forgot password on the sign-in screen. The link is checked before the new-password form appears, so an expired or already-used link shows a clear message with a one-click “Request a new link” button — you never find out after typing a new password.
New passwords must be at least 12 characters with a mix of cases, numbers, and symbols — the same rule wherever you set a password on Kariant.
Two-factor promptslink
If you enabled two-factor authentication, have your second factor ready before signing in. Accounts with more than one second factor are asked which to use — Authenticator app (the 6-digit code from your app) or Text message. Enrolled factors are managed from Settings → Security.
Still stucklink
A “Too many attempts” message clears on its own after a few minutes — wait, then try again. If nothing above resolves it, sign in with the magic-link option instead, or contact support@kariant.app from the email address on the account.
Frequently asked questions
Why am I redirected to hq.kariant.app when I click Sign in?expand_more
By design — hq.kariant.app is the central secure sign-in for the whole platform. You authenticate there once and are returned to where you started, and that one session follows you across Kariant products.
My reset link says it is invalid or has expired — what now?expand_more
Reset links are time-limited and single-use. The same screen offers a one-click “Request a new link” — use it and a fresh link is emailed to you.
Why won’t the error tell me whether my email even has an account?expand_more
That is deliberate: sign-in errors never confirm whether an address has an account, which stops strangers from probing your email. If you are unsure, request a password reset or use the magic-link option — both work from the sign-in screen.
